LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 5-ranked University of Louisville volleyball team continues ACC play as they host NC State on Friday at 7 p.m. ET and North Carolina on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Louisville recorded their 14th sweep of the year against Duke and Notre Dame to move to 20-2 on the season and 11-1 in ACC play. Claire Chaussee notched 16 kills hitting .441 with eight digs against Notre Dame and recorded six kills, four assists, one ace, one block, and six digs against Duke. Amaya Tillman had 12 kills hitting .435 with eight blocks and three digs against Notre Dame and six kills hitting .455 with one ace and three blocks against Duke. Raquel Lazaro, who had seven kills, recorded 47 assists, two aces, 17 digs, and six blocks on the week.
About the Wolfpack
NC State split the weekend with a 3-0 win against Clemson on Friday night and a 3-1 loss against No. 10-ranked Georgia Tech on Sunday afternoon. The Wolfpack moves to 12-11 on the season and 6-6 in the ACC. NC State was led by freshman Ava Brizard in the win against Clemson. The 6-1 outside had 16 kills hitting .405 with one block and seven digs and has 255 kills, 187 digs, and 30 blocks on the season. Martyna Leoniak, a 6-3 outside, led the Wolfpack with 19 kills hitting .326 with five blocks, and 14 digs in the loss against Georgia Tech. Leoniak has 137 kills, 135 digs, and 29 blocks on the season.
About the Tar Heels
North Carolina split two four-set match this weekend, falling to No. 10-ranked Georgia Tech on Friday night and beating Clemson on Sunday morning. The Tar Heels move to 14-9 on the season and 6-6 in the ACC. UNC was led by sophomore outside hitter Mabrey Shaffmaster who had 29 kills on the weekend with two aces, six blocks, and 27 digs. Shaffmaster leads the team in kills with 328 for the season and has 19 aces, 229 digs, and 30 blocks. Carley Niego, a 6-0 outside hitter, recorded 17 kills, four aces, eight blocks, and 15 digs through both matches. Niego has 245 kills, 20 aces, 224 digs, and 47 blocks on the season.
