COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s volleyball team (9-5, 5-1 B1G) heads to No. 10 Minnesota (9-5, 4-2 B1G) for a mid-week top-10 match on BTN. First serve is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

  • Ohio State was ranked sixth in the AVCA poll for the third-consecutive week.
  • The Buckeyes enter the match with a 9-5 overall record and a 5-1 mark in Big Ten play following two home wins last weekend – a five-setter against (then) No. 13 Penn State (25-17, 25-15, 25-27, 22-25, 15-11) and a four-set win against RV Northwestern (21-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-15).
  • Senior Mac Podraza was named Big Ten Setter of the Week for the second-straight week on Monday after moving into sixth in program history in career assists, passing Head Coach Jen Flynn Oldenburg.
  • Senior libero Kylie Murr moved up to second on the program’s all-time digs list last week as she now has 1,607 digs.
  • No. 10 Minnesota enters the match with a 9-5 overall record and is 4-2 in conference play.
  • The Gophers are on a three-match win streak after sweeping No. 24 Michigan (25-12, 25-22, 25-13) and Michigan State (25-19, 25-15, 25-14) last weekend.
  • Minnesota is 5-4 against ranked opponents this season, including wins over (then) No. 16 Baylor, No. 13 Florida, No. 18 Oregon, No. 6 Wisconsin and No. 24 Michigan.
  • Taylor Landfair is second in the Big Ten in kills per set, averaging 4.62, while Melani Shaffmaster is second in the conference with 10.46 assists per set.
  • The Gophers lead 50-34 in the all-time series against the Buckeyes and have the 27-12 advantage when playing on their home court.
  • The teams have met only twice in the Jen Flynn Oldenburg era as Ohio State fell in four sets to Minnesota on two occasions last season, once in Minneapolis and once in Columbus.
