Bangkok, Thailand, March 16, 2023 – The Oliy League Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Tournament is being held at the Youth Sports Complex and Bukhara State University in Uzbekistan from March 15 to 20.
With Bukhara Region playing host to the six-day event, the Oliy League Second Round for both genders attracted more than 200 players from the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Tashkent, Khorezm, Namangan, Fergana and Jizzakh to take part in the competition.
The opening ceremony of the tournament took place at the Youth Sports Complex on Thursday, with Head of Regional Youth Policy and Sports Department U. Nadjimidinov presiding. Also in attendance were deputy head of IIB J. Boltaev, representative of Family and Women’s Support Department M. Tilavova and sports officials.
In this occasion, new referee sports uniforms were presented to the referees officiating the tournament by representative from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Mr Khusan Nasrulllaev, Secretary General of the Uzbekistan Volleyball Federation.
