SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse volleyball is set to face Bryant in its final bout of non-conference action on Friday afternoon (Sept. 16th), with the first serve set for 4:30 p.m. The neutral site matchup will take place in Storrs, Connecticut on the campus of UCONN, serving as part of the Dog Pound Challenge.
Neither team owns the series, as it is tied 1-1. Friday will be the third meeting between Syracuse and Bryant. Their last meeting was on September 15th, 2017, when the Bulldogs took a 3-2 win. The first-ever meeting took place on September 25th, 2012 and resulted in a 3-1 ‘Cuse win.
Each squad has never played each other on their respective home court, as the squads have only met at neutral site venues. However, this is the first neutral site matchup between the two squads that will take place outside the state of New York.
Syracuse has an overall record of 4-5 this season and is 3-1 in neutral site games. On the other side of the net, Bryant is 7-5 on the season, but is 1-3 in neutral site games. The Bulldogs stand on top of the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) in kills this season with hitter Caroline Kennedy leading the way. The graduate student has at least four games this season with double-digit kills.
