Two-time World Champion, Dawid Konarski, is the new member of PGE Skra Bełchatów for the upcoming 2023/2024 season.
With a stellar record of 379 PlusLiga matches, 64 MVP trophies, and a remarkable 5064 points scored over 14 seasons, Konarski is a renowned figure in the world of volleyball.
Konarski volleyball journey began at Chemik Bydgoszcz, where he honed his skills in youth category. By 2008, he made his top-flight debut for Delecta Bydgoszcz, a team he faithfully represented for five seasons before signing a contract with Asseco Resovia Rzeszów. Konarski celebrated significant victories during his two-season tenure in Rzeszów, clinching the Polish Super Cup, the national championship, and earning a silver medal in the Champions League.
His winning streak continued at ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, with two Polish championships and a Polish Cup added to his growing collection of laurels. A brief stint in Turkey’s Ziraat Bankası Ankara saw Konarski bagging a silver medal in the CEV Cup. Upon his return to PlusLiga, he became part of the Jastrzębski Węgiel team, where he won a bronze medal in the Polish championships. After two seasons there, he joined Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom, and later Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, securing another bronze medal in the Polish championships during the 2021/2022 season.
An invaluable asset to the Polish national team, Konarski has made a significant 110 appearances for his country. His debut was marked by a commanding 3:0 victory over Australia on May 11, 2012. In addition to being a two-time world champion (2014, 2018), Konarski also holds a bronze medal from the 2015 World Cup and the 2019 European Championships. His noteworthy performance during the Hubert Jerzy Wagner Memorial has led him to the podium five times, securing three gold, one silver, and one bronze medal. With this impressive record, his addition to the PGE Skra Bełchatów team brings promising prospects for the new season.
