The Semifinals of the PlusLiga series began today, featuring matches between ZAKSA and Resovia in the first duel, and Zawiercie and Jastrzębski in the second.
Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle made an impressive comeback from a 0-2 deficit (22-25, 13-25, 25-21, 25-16, 15-12) against regular season leaders Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, with Bartosz Bednorz delivering another standout performance and finishing as the game’s top scorer with 24 points. Maciej Muzaj scored 20 points for the losing team.
Meanwhile, in the second semifinal, Jastrzębski Węgiel secured a victory over Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie in four sets (13-25, 25-20, 20-25, 19-25), with Stephen Boyer leading the way as the top scorer with 21 points. Dawid Dulski put up 18 points for the losing team.
