STANFORD, Calif. – The Stanford women’s volleyball team (24-4) will begin its quest for the program’s 10th NCAA title at home this week, as the squad earned the No. 4 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Stanford is scheduled to play its first round match at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2 at Maples Pavilion against Pepperdine (19-10). The Waves finished fourth in the WCC, earning an at-large berth.

Hawaii (22-6) and LSU (15-13) will meet in the other first-round matchup at Maples Pavilion on Friday at 4:30 p.m. The Rainbow Wahine won the Big West Conference to earn an automatic berth into the tournament, while the Tigers finished seventh in the SEC to secure an at-large berth into the tournament.

The winners of the Stanford-Pepperdine and the Hawaii-LSU matches will meet in the second round on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m.

Should the Cardinal advance past the first weekend of play, it will also host the regional rounds on Dec. 8 and Dec. 10 at Maples Pavilion. The seeded teams in Stanford’s region are No. 5 San Diego, No. 12 Kentucky and No. 13 Creighton. The Final Four will be held at CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska on Dec. 15-17.

Stanford is making its 41st NCAA Tournament appearance. The Cardinal will be seeking its first national title since 2019, its 24th Final Four trip and 18th appearance in the national title match.

Stanford wrapped up the regular season on Friday with a sweep over Bay Area rival California. Claiming its 20th league title, Stanford went 19-1 in Pac-12 play, ending the regular season on an 18-match winning streak. Five Pac-12 schools earned bids to the NCAA Tournament.

Tickets for the first and second rounds will be available online at www.GoStanford.com or by calling 1-800-STANFORD. All-session general admission tickets will be available at 8 a.m. PT on Monday, Nov. 28. Reserved all-session and single match tickets will be available for purchase beginning at 9 a.m. PT on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
