The Qatar Volleyball Association held its Ordinary General Assembly at the QVA Headquarters on Tuesday, with Chairman of the QVA Board of Directors Mr Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari chairing the meeting, actively attended by all members of the General Assembly from club representatives with the aim of discussing many important topics related to the future of volleyball in Qatar.
Also in attendance were HE Sheikh Suhaim bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Vice President of Qatar Club, all heads of volleyball clubs, club representatives and a representative of the Qatar National Olympic Committee.
In a speech delivered during the meeting, QVA President Mr Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari praised the technical levels of the clubs apart from congratulating Al Rayyan SC on winning the historic West Asia Men’s Club Championship, held recently in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Police Union on their fine form for a well-earned third place at the inaugural competition.
The agenda of the General Assembly included the approval of the minutes of the previous meeting and the minutes of the Ordinary General Assembly, approval of reports of past activities and future projects, and a statement of revenues and expenses until December 2022.
At the end of the meeting, the QVA President thanked all the clubs for their good cooperation with the federation, noting the concerted efforts in serving the game. He also praised the clubs’ preparations and their interests in the age groups, especially the interest of club presidents and heads of volleyball for kids festivals in “Baraem” as a strategic and important activity.
