In their home opener, the Ducks posted a 5-0 sweep over Bushnell with an additional exhibition victory. The team’s No. 2—Ella Tyus and Bea Wetton—and No. 4—Natasha George and Ashley Schroeder—duos both carry three-match winning streaks into the weekend.

Tyus and Wetton are 4-1 this season with the lone loss coming in three sets—23-21 in the third—against then-No. 18 Arizona. After dropping their first two matches of the year, George and Schroeder have won three in a row. The pair’s win against Bushnell marked the 25th career victory for Schroeder.

After facing UCLA, the Ducks will take on Arizona in a rematch from opening weekend in Tucson. UCLA and Arizona are a combined 10-0 this season. The Bruins opened the year with six wins at a tournament in Hawaii including two wins over No. 9 Stanford and another victory over the 10th-ranked host.

The Pac-12 South Invitational marks the Ducks’ first of three-consecutive road weekends, continuing at the Queens Cup (March 10-12) in Honolulu. The team’s next home match is March 23, a midweek dual against Corban at 2 p.m. Click HERE for the full 2023 schedule.
