TEMPE – No. 11 Sun Devil Beach Volleyball is traveling to Fort Worth, Texas this weekend to compete in the Fight in the Fort Tournament from March 22-23, battling it out against FGCU and No. 14 Washington on Friday before finishing the weekend against No. 13 FIU and host No. 4 TCU on Saturday.
How to Follow
Friday’s dual against FGCU will be at 6 a.m. MST/8 a.m. CDT, followed by a matchup with conference foe Washington after a break at 12 p.m. MST/2 p.m. CDT. On Saturday, ASU will face FIU at 6 a.m. MST/8 a.m. CDT and end the weekend against host TCU at 12 p.m. MST/2 p.m. CDT.

Sun Devil Outlook
No. 11 Arizona State (11-3)
- The Sand Devils finished their weekend in Long Beach with a 3-1 record, earning wins over Pepperdine, CSUN and Texas.
- Their current record of 11-3 still stands as the best start in program history through 14 games.
- Arizona State will face three ranked teams this weekend. ASU is 5-3 against ranked opponents this season and a perfect 6-0 against unranked squads. Against top-five teams, the Sand Devils are 1-1 with a win over then-No. 2 Stanford.
- No. 3 pair graduate Lexi Sweeney and senior Taryn Ames each earned their 50th career individual wins as a part of ASU’s 5-0 sweep against CSUN. They become the eighth and ninth Sand Devils to do so, currently tied for seventh in the record book.
- The No. 2 pair of sophomore Arden Besecker and freshman Ava Williamson went undefeated all weekend. They were one of two pairs to earn a point in the loss to No. 7 LBSU, winning in straight sets. They are 11-3 on the season, which is the best record for any Sand Devil.
Opponent Outlook
FGCU (9-9)
- FGCU is coming off of a four-game losing streak after coming up short against No. 4 FSU, No. 15 FAU, No. 5 TCU and No. 12 FIU.
- The Eagles earned their first ranked win of the season when they came out on top over No. 20 Tampa, 3-2, on March 9.
- The Sand Devils own a 1-0 record against the Eagles when they defeated them in 2019, 4-1.
No. 14 Washington (5-7)
