Nanchang, China, January 7, 2023 – Tianjin overcame Shanghai for a 1-0 lead in the finals of the 2022-23 Chinese Women’s Volleyball Super League in Shangrao, Jiangxi province on Saturday.
Chinese international Li Yingying and overseas spiker Melissa Vargas had 15 points apiece to help Tianjin down Shanghai 25-17, 25-19 and 25-17. Spiker Wang Yindi won 12 points for Shanghai.
Earlier on Saturday, Shenzhen beat Fujian 17-25, 25-22, 25-21 and 25-22 to finish third.
