Olympic Solidarity investment has increased significantly in the short Olympic Games Paris 2024 cycle (2021-2024), with a 125 per cent increase in team support grants specifically, as the FIVB continues to work closely with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic Solidarity to support volleyball and beach volleyball teams in receiving team support grants.

For team support grants in particular, the Paris 2024 Olympic cycle has seen a total of 58 projects – 28 for volleyball and 30 for beach volleyball –approved, marking a significant increase from the 36 projects during the five-year Tokyo 2020 cycle (2016-2021). The figures for Paris 2024 showcase a significant increase, and we are excited to see the impact of this as we move closer to the Games, and on the sport more generally.

“Not only are we supporting our National Federations together with Olympic Solidarity, but we also work closely with local governments to increase the investment in the sport for better results, as part of our multi-stakeholder approach.”
