SEATTLE – More postseason honors for the Beach Dawgs were recently announced, as two Husky duos received the AVCA Top Flight Award. Natalie Robinson and Chloe Loreen earned the honor for Flight 1, and Paloma Bowman and Scarlett Dahl picked up a Flight 3 distinction.
The AVCA Top Flight Award was created to recognize the winningest duos up and down team’s lineups. To be eligible, pairs must compete in at least 15 matches together at a specific spot in the lineup, or “flight” and win 75-percent of those matches.
Robinson and Loreen were 27-6 at the No. 1 position at the time of the award submissions, while Bowman and Dahl were 16-5 at the No. 3 spot.
Robinson and Loreen were named the first All-Americans in Husky Beach history last week, both earning AVCA First Team status.
These are the first Top Flight Awards won by Washington.
