HARRISONBURG, Va.– The Elizabethtown men’s volleyball dropped their second straight CVC match, Saturday afternoon. The Blue Jays fell, 3-1 to Eastern Mennonite. 

The first set was tight as Eastern Mennonite won, 26-24 in extra points. The set started in a back-n-forth fashion as Etown held a stead lead at 12-8 following kills from Kyle McKiernan and Tony Camillo. Eastern Mennonite went on two four straight point runs to take a 19-17 lead over the Blue Jays. A kill by Cheston Jacobs and a service ace by Steve Swain tied up the set, 23-23. EMU came within one of set-point before a Nick Chapman kill tied it up, 24-24. The Royals then grabbed the final two points to win, 26-24. 

Again set two started close until Eastern Mennonite went on a 8-1 run to lead, 16-7. The Blue Jays recovered as EMU committed three straight errors. A service ace and a kill extended the Royals lead by ten. Swain smacked down a kill keeping the Royals lead by ten at 22-12. EMU ended the set on two kills and an Etown service error to win, 25-14. 

The third set saw the Blue Jays come out strong as they led, 8-5 following a Chapman kill. The set was tight through the next several points but Etown held the lead, 14-12 after two straight Swain kills. A kill from McKiernan and one from Camillo brought the Blue Jays lead to 18-15. EMU took over the lead at 20-19 before the Blue Jays tied up the set. Etown ended set three on a 4-1 run to win, 25-22. 

In set four, Eastern Mennonite started out with a 7-3 lead before six consecutive points from Etown gave the Blue Jays a 9-7 lead. The two teams…
