GULF SHORES, Ala. – The historic season for Sun Devil Beach Volleyball came to an end on Friday, falling 3-0 to Cal Poly in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships in Gulf Shores.
Arizona State (21-10) battled close in many of the sets, but Cal Poly (30-6) took control. ASU ends the year with 21 wins, which is tied for the program record for number of wins (also 2019).
The Mustangs took the first sets on the top three courts, including a close 22-20 score at the threes. The Sun Devils handled courts four and five in the first set, but both of those courts dropped their second sets.
