Second Half of Pac-12 Play Starts in Pullman


EUGENE, Ore. – The second half of Pac-12 play begins with a road trip that begins Friday evening with a top-10 matchup at No. 6 Washington State. The weekend opener is scheduled for a 7 p.m. first serve on the Pac-12 Networks. The ninth-ranked Ducks then travel to Seattle for Sunday’s match at Washington, a 12 p.m. date on ESPN.

Series Info vs Washington State
Twelve of the past 13 matches have been extended to at least four sets including six five setters. Oregon leads the all-time series, 57-40-1, but the Cougars have won seven of the past 10 head-to-head matchups including the first meeting, a four-set win in Eugene (Oct. 1).

After dropping the first set, Oregon rallied for a 3-1 victory in Eugene (Sept. 29) in the first meeting this season. The Ducks and Huskies have played five sets in five of the past 10 meetings. Washington leads the all-time series, 73-27, and Oregon is looking for its first win in Seattle since 2018.

The Ducks maintain their hold on a top-10 spot, down just one spot to No. 9 after a split weekend. Oregon checks in at No. 8 in the NCAA RPI this week ahead of Sunday’s NCAA Committee top-10 reveal during the Oregon-Washington match on ESPN.
 
Killing It
Oregon ranks second in the Pac-12 and 10th in the NCAA with 14.03 kills per set. Combined, the Ducks are 15th in the nation with their .281 hitting percentage entering the weekend road trip. Four UO players are averaging at least 2.00 kills per set: Mimi Colyer (4.08 k/s), Gabby Gonzales (2.83), Morgan Lewis (2.67) and Kara McGhee (2.00).
 
Up!
Seniors Georgia Murphy (3.41) and Hannah Pukis (3.07) enter the weekend as the only Pac-12 teammates averaging at least 3.00 digs per set. Murphy, the UO libero, is up to 3.82 digs per set during conference play while Pukis has 10 or more digs in 15 matches this season.
 
Last Time Out
Middle blocker Kara McGhee registered a season-high 15 kills and setter Hannah Pukis tallied her 15th double-double (48a, 18d) in a four-set loss to third-ranked Stanford. It was the first meeting as top-10 opponents since the 2012 season.
