Manama, Bahrain, May 20, 2023 – South Gas Sports Club, loaded with more potential players, proved a cut above Bayankhongor Crownd Geo VC as they put it past the Mongolians 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-16) in their 5th-8th playoff encounter in the 2023 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship at Isa Bin Rashid Hall 1 on Saturday.
Following the win, South Gas Sports Club will go up against Kuwait Sporting Club, the team they had already beaten 3-0 in the classification round for 1st-8th places in Pool F, in the Sunday’s 5th-6th place playoff, with Bayankhongor Crownd Geo VC taking on Korean Air Jumbos Pro-Volleyball Club to vie for 7th position.
South Gas Sports Club had three double-digit performances from Nikola Meljanac, Muntadher Yasir, and Todor Skrimov who respectively tallied 17, 14, 11 points, while Khangal Tamiraa led Bayankhongor Crownd Geo VC with 9 points.
