LINCOLN, Neb. – Held to a season-low .100 hitting percentage, No. 2 Stanford dropped a 25-17, 25-22, 25-14 decision at No. 5 Nebraska, Wednesday, at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
Stanford (7-1) suffered its first loss of the season, committing 22 hitting errors. Nebraska (9-1) hit .263 and finished with five aces and 9.0 blocks.
Outside hitter Elia Run recorded a match-high 10 kills, six digs, two aces and two blocks. Middle blocker Lizzy Andrew added six kills on .417 hitting and three blocks.
Setter Kami Miner finished with 28 assists, two digs and a kill. Libero Elena Oglivie posted a match-high 11 digs, while senior defensive specialist Taylor Beaven collected a season-high nine digs.
Middle blocker Sami Francis chipped in with five kills and a block, while outside hitter Ipar Kurt totaled seven kills. Opposite Jordyn Harvey finished with four kills and two digs.
Nebraska was led by Andi Jackson’s nine kills on .600 hitting and match-high five blocks. Lindsay Krause added nine kills and an ace for the Huskers.
Stanford returns to The Farm to close out nonconference play against No. 11 Kentucky on Saturday. First serve is slated for 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
