STANFORD, Calif. – After being edged in the first set, No. 3 Stanford stormed back to defeat UCLA, 25-27, 25-23, 25-20, 25-10, Sunday, at Maples Pavilion.
Stanford (15-2, 8-0 Pac-12) won its ninth consecutive match and extended its Pac-12 win streak to 26. The Cardinal out hit UCLA (10-8, 2-6 Pac-12), .255 to .130, and held a 62-47 advantage in digs, while the Bruins out blocked Stanford, 13.0 to 9.0.
Outside hitter Caitie Baird turned in her first double-double of the season, posting a match-high 17 kills and 11 digs. The redshirt senior also registered four of the Cardinal’s eight aces.

There were 25 tie scores and nine lead changes in the first two sets combined. The Cardinal closed the door on the Bruins in the fourth, hitting .609 as a team with 15 kills on 23 swings with just one miscue.
Setter Kami Miner dished out 52 assists to go with seven digs, four kills and two blocks. Libero Elena Oglivie racked up a match-best 19 digs, two aces and two assists.

Opposite Kendall Kipp finished with 16 kills, nine digs, four blocks and two aces, while outside hitter Elia Rubin added 16 kills, 14 digs and three blocks.
