Stanford Sweeps Concordia – Stanford University Athletics

STANFORD, Calif. – A balanced offense led No. 9 Stanford to a 25-14, 25-18, 25-15 win over Concordia, Friday, in Maples Pavilion.

Stanford (10-10, 3-4 MPSF) hit a season-best .478 as a team, while holding Concordia (7-14, 1-6 MPSF) to a .074 clip – the lowest by a Cardinal opponent this season. Stanford also registered a season-high 12.0 blocks, including seven of the solo variety.

Setter Nathan Lietzke dished out 37 assists to go with six digs and a career-high four aces. Libero Justin Lui finished with eight digs and four assists.

 



Outside hitter Kevin Lamp led Stanford offensively with a match-high 11 kills on .455 hitting to go with an ace. Middle blocker Nathaniel Gates added seven kills on nine errorless swings to hit .778 – his second-highest output of the season.

Freshman opposite Theo Snoey registered 10 kills on. 389 hitting, three digs, three blocks (two solo) and an ace. Middle blocker Ethan Hill added five kills on a .571 attack percentage, a block and an ace.

Outside hitter Luke Turner chipped in with seven kills on a season-best .545 attack percentage. The junior also matched his career-high with five blocks, including three solo.
