Stanford Sweeps Duke – Stanford Cardinal

DURHAM, N.C. – Led by outside hitter Ipar Kurt, No. 7 Stanford swept Duke, 25-14, 25-23, 25-11, Friday at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Stanford (22-4, 14-3 ACC) hit .474 as a team, while holding Duke (9-19, 5-12 ACC) to a .215 clip. The Cardinal finished with five aces, 46 digs and 4.0 blocks.

Kurt registered a career-high 19 kills on .545 hitting to lead the Cardinal offensively. Opposite Jordyn Harvey recorded her first collegiate double-double with 12 kills on a .556 attack percentage and a career-best 10 digs.

Setter Kami Miner dished out 37 assists and collected five digs, three kills, a block and an ace. Libero Elena Oglivie tallied a match-high 13 digs and had six assists and an ace.

Middle blocker Sami Francis hit .538 with seven kills on 13 errorless swings, while freshman Lizzy Andrew chipped in with four kills on .375 hitting and four blocks. Outside hitter Elia Rubin also posted seven kills and notched 12 digs, two aces, two assists and a block.

Senior defensive specialist Taylor Beaven had two digs, an assist and an ace, while junior Anna Pringle added two digs

Stanford closes out the weekend on Sunday at North Carolina. First serve is slated for 9 a.m. PT on ACC Network.
