Sullivan Adds Arielle Wilson to Volleyball Coaching Staff


COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Volleyball Head Coach Dawn Sullivan announced Thursday the addition of Arielle Wilson as Defensive and Recruiting Coordinator.

Wilson joins Dawn Sullivan‘s staff after spending the past four seasons as an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Georgia Tech. Wilson played a pivotal role within the Yellow Jackets program, leading them to four postseason appearances. 

Georgia Tech advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight in 2021 and earned three NCAA Tournament bids with Wilson on staff. The Yellow Jackets also captured their first NIVC Championship in 2019 after a second-place finish in the Atlantic Coast Conference. 

Wilson coached three student-athletes to All-American honors at Georgia Tech including three-time All-American outside hitter Julia Bergmann.

Prior to her time at Georgia Tech, Wilson served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Michigan State during the 2018 season. She specialized in middle blocker training and team blocking techniques.

Wilson has also coached at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, and served as a coach for the outdoor beach volleyball program with First Alliance Volleyball Club.

Wilson was a standout volleyball player at Penn State, leading the Nittany Lions to four NCAA Championships and four Big Ten Championships. Wilson was recognized as a three-time AVCA All-American and named team captain. 

The Broadview, Illinois, native, graduated in 2011 from Penn State with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology.

Professionally, Wilson played five seasons in Poland, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, and Italy, before entering the coaching ranks. She was also a USA Women’s National Team Member in 2013.
