As the sun begins to set on the month of April and we round out the 18’s Club season, it’s time to take a look at what’s about to bloom in May. It’s going to be a BIG month, one that includes some of our resident articles, including our weekly release of the Recent Commitments, but also four major lists that you won’t want to miss. So, make sure your subscription is up to date!
To start things off we’ll have live coverage and a recap of USAV 18’s Nationals from Columbus as well as our All-Tournament Selections from the Open and National Divisions as well throughout the week.
At the same time our final pre-Nationals Power 50 Rankings for the 14’s and 15’s, 16’s, and 17’s age groups as well as a look Inside The Power 50 following each group. We follow up the the Top 100 18’s Club Teams, a ranking five months in the making. We’ll be curating our list of the top teams in the 18’s age group based on this season’s overall performances including the National Championships.
Then, it will be time to announce our 18’s Club All-Americans, starting Monday, May 15. Nominations are now officially open. Coaches and club directors can nominate players from the 2023 class by following the link to our nomination form HERE.
Nominations will also be open for the 2023 Senior Aces award. Just as we did last season, this year’s Senior Aces will take both high school AND club ball into consideration. Therefore both high school and club coaches/directors may nominate from today until Thursday, May 18 right HERE. The Senior Aces will be released beginning Monday, May 22, and continue throughout the week.
After the release of the Senior Aces, we’ll round out the month with live coverage of the JVA West Coast Cup, including daily recaps and stars, as well as an All-Tournament Team selection at the conclusion of the competition.
Finally, we’ll have the FINAL EDITION of the Class of 2023 Top 150 Player Rankings on Monday May 29 and Tuesday May 30.
