The Qatar Volleyball Association held a ceremony honoring the players of the first men’s team that won the bronze medal in the Asian Championship2023, which concluded a few days ago in the Iranian city of Urmia, after defeating its Chinese counterpart in three games to no return, in the match to determine third and fourth place among 18 teams.
Mr.Ali Ghanim Al Kuwari, President of the Qatar Volleyball Association, stressed that the honor is a message of thanks to the players and their technical and administrative staff for the honorable performance, distinguished achievement and efforts they made during the tournament matches, which helped them win the well-deserved bronze medal.
The President of the Federation noted the commitment and dedication of the national team players in training and official matches, and their keenness to defend the colors of their country and raise the flag of Qatar in various international forums, considering that this honor serves as an incentive for the players to continue developing and provide the best in future matches.
He added that the team achieved a distinguished achievement for Qatari volleyball in particular and Qatari sports in general, praising the technical levels of the team during the recent period. After winning silver in the Challenge Cup tournament recently, it returned and achieved a new achievement in the Asian Championship.
