The recognition of the 50th anniversary of Title IX continues with several celebratory events the weekend of October 6-9 honoring the past, present and future of women in athletics “On The Banks”.
The landmark legislation created competitive success on the playing field and in the classroom for Rutgers women who have continued success beyond “The Banks” and inspired future generations in fulfilling dreams of competing at the highest level while pursuing higher education. The weekend will welcome our alumnae back to campus as Rutgers plays homage and honors the impact of the women who have blazed the trail during the first fifty years of Title IX while supporting the present and future of women in sport.

Thursday, October 6:
“More Is Possible” – Rutgers Athletics & 50 Years of Title IX Panel with former coaches & letterwinners
Friday, October 7:
Women’s Swimming & Diving vs. Army/LIU/Buffalo
Unger-DeBlasio Cup Women’s Golf Outing
Football Female Pregame Parade & Halftime March-On
Saturday, October 8:
Women’s Swimming & Diving vs. Army/LIU/Buffalo
Field Hockey vs. Northwestern
Play4Petway Charity Golf Outing
Forgotten Champions – 1982 AIAW Women’s Basketball Championship Documentary – Premier
Sunday, October 9:
Volleyball vs. Maryland
Men’s Soccer vs. Indiana
During the weekend’s events, all teams playing at home will be wearing Title IX warm-ups provided by Adidas.
