After the suspension of the competition due to the tragic earthquake, the Turkish championship resumed with a highly anticipated match between Eczacibasi, who held the top spot, and Vakifbank, currently in second place.
Eczacibasi emerged victorious with a 3-0 (25-21 28-26 25-21) win, led by Boskovic’s impressive 23-point performance (including 10 points in the opening set) compared to Egonu’s 19 points. Vakifbank briefly held the lead during the fiercely contested second set but failed to capitalize on two set-points.
