BOULDER — Middle blocker Meegan Hart and outside hitter Lexi Hadrych were both honored with 2022 Pac-12 Women’s Volleyball year-end accolades. Hart was selected as an All-Pac-12 team member, and Hadrych earned honorable mention.
The conference honors were determined based on voting by the Pac-12 head coaches, and head coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.
Hart has played a crucial role in the Buffs’ offense and defense all season long. The 6-2 middle blocker from St. Charles, Ill. ranks eighth in the NCAA for attack percentage with a .432 average and has the highest hitting percentage of any player in the Pac-12. Hart has tallied 272 kills this season, a single season career-high, and earns 2.47 kills a set.
On the defensive side, Hart has proven difficult for her opponents to hit past. Hart is ranked 49th in the NCAA in blocks per set at 1.23 and has posted 135 blocks so far this season, another single season career-high.
This marks the first time Hart has made the All-Pac-12 team. In 2020, she was awarded with a Pac-12 honorable mention.
Hadrych, awarded a Pac-12 honorable mention for the first time in her career, is second on the Buffs in total kills with 341. The outside hitter has a .235 hitting percentage and is averaging 3.19 kills per set. Hadrych has notched at least 20 kills in three matches this season, most recently against Arizona where she earned 20 kills and hit .395.
Hart and Hadrych will both look to increase their numbers further in their first NCAA tournament match against No. 20 Rice Thursday at 3:30 p.m. MT.
