LOS ANGELES – The UCLA Women’s Beach Volleyball team announced its 2023 schedule today, highlighted by hosting three regular-season tournaments (two at Mapes Beach and one at legendary Manhattan Beach Pier) and “Senior Day” against USC and Loyola Marymount. The Bruins will have two duals televised by the Pac-12 Networks. In addition to the aforementioned duals, the Pac-12 Networks will also televise all rounds of the Pac-12 Championship (Apr. 26-28).

The Bruins will compete in eight different regular-season tournaments during the year, beginning with the season opener against Saint Mary’s on Friday, Feb. 23, at 11:30 a.m. PT at Heineken Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic at Queen’s Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Bruins will also face Stephen F. Austin, Stanford, and Hawai’i in the opening weekend.

UCLA will return home to host the Pac-12 South Invitational (along with USC) on Saturday-Sunday (Mar. 4-5). The Bruins will face Oregon, Arizona State, and Utah before closing out the tournament at USC.

UCLA will team up with USC again the following weekend to host the Second Annual Battle for LA at Mapes Beach (and Merle Norman Stadium) on Mar. 11-12, where the Bruins will face Cal Poly, Long Beach State, Grand Canyon, and Florida Atlantic.

At the end of 10th week, the Bruins will head to Gulf Shores, Ala., for the March to May tournament. There the Bruins will face five top teams from the East Mar. 17-18. UCLA will face South Carolina, LSU, Florida State, Georgia State, and UAB at Gulf Beach Place, the site of the NCAA Championship.

UCLA will take off the following weekend for finals week and then return to action on Wednesday, Mar. 29 when they host Hawai’i at the Mapes Beach Invitational before heading to iconic Manhattan Beach Pier for the East Meets West Invitational Friday and Saturday, Mar. 31 and Apr. 1.
