The United States will host the 2025 ParaVolley Pan America (PVPA) Sitting Volleyball Zonal Championships set to take place in Denver, Colorado from May 24-28, with the arrival on May 21 and departure on May 29.
The double-gender event will be held alongside the USA Open Adult National Championships.
The 2023 PVPA Zonal Championships served as a Paris 2024 Paralympic Games qualifier, with teams from across Pan America competing for one spot per gender in the Games.
At that event, the USA women’s team won gold and Canada took silver. Both teams went on to medal in Paris, where the USA secured its third straight Paralympic gold and Canada earned its first-ever Paralympic bronze in sitting volleyball.
In the men’s tournament, Brazil won gold, with the USA taking silver and Canada bronze, underscoring the high level of competition within the PVPA zone.
Denver was selected as the host for the 2025 zonal championships following a strong bid from the USA, which received confirmation from the PVPA Board. This event will bring together the zone’s leading sitting volleyball teams.
