LEXINGTON, Ky. – USC beach volleyball assistant coach Gustavo Rocha was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s National Assistant Coach of the Year on Monday, May 8.
In his sixth year with the program, Rocha has been indispensable as the Trojans’ lead assistant and recruiter. With Rocha on staff, the Trojans have won three straight NCAA championships (2021, ’22, ’23) and were the NCAA runner-up in 2019.
Hector Gutierrez of TCU was chosen as the national head coach of the year.
