USC Men’s Volleyball Gets Fall Play Started at Walter Pyramid

LOS ANGELES – The USC men’s volleyball team will get the fall season started with four matches at the Long Beach State Tournament at Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, Calif., on Saturday, Oct. 28.
 
Doors open at 9 a.m. PT and admission is free to the public.
 
Three courts will play at the same time on the Pyramid floor with the following schedule:
 
10 a.m.
Long Beach State vs. Pepperdine (main court)
Long Beach State vs. USC (side court)
USC vs. Pepperdine (side court)
 
12:30 p.m.
Lunch Break
 
2 p.m.
Long Beach State vs. USC (main court)
Long Beach State vs. Pepperdine (side court)
USC vs. Pepperdine (side court)
 
The 12th-ranked USC men’s volleyball team concluded the 2023 season with a 10-16 overall record and went 3-9 in MPSF matches to finish in sixth place. USC faced Stanford in the opening round of the MPSF tournament but was eliminated by the Cardinal in four sets. In its history, the USC men’s volleyball program has captured four NCAA championships while appearing in 15 NCAA tournaments and has produced 21 Olympians, 34 first-team All-Americans, and seven College Players of the Year.
