MATCH WEEK

Utah Volleyball begins a two-week stretch of road play to end the regular season this week, heading to No. 25 Washington State and No. 21 Washington for a pair of matches. Utah first travels to Pullman, Wash., to take on Washington State this Friday, Nov. 18. The Utes and Cougars will play at 8 p.m. MT at Bohler Gym on Pac-12 Mountain. To close out the weekend, Utah will play Washington on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. MT. The Utes and Huskies will play on Pac-12 Washington at Alaska Airlines Arena.

 

QUICK HITS

• Utah has the 14th toughest schedule in the nation this season, while the Utes are No. 41 in the RPI this week.

• Utah posted 17 blocks against Oregon State last week, which marked the program’s most in a match since the 2019 season.

KJ Burgess leads all freshmen in the Pac-12 in hitting percentage and blocks per set, while she ranks in the top-five in both categories among all Pac-12 players.

Madelyn Robinson has posted double-digit kills in all but one match this season and is 15th nationally with 4.39 kills per set.

Vanessa Ramirez has had the most or tied for the most digs on the team in 24 of 27 matches this season.

• Utah is 12-19 overall in the series history with Washington (3-10 in Seattle). Utah swept Washington in the first meeting this season. Last year, Utah upset Washington 3-2 in Seattle when the Huskies were ranked sixth in the nation, marking Utah’s second-highest true road win in program history.

• Utah is 14-17 overall in the series history vs. Washington State (4-6 in Pullman). Utah dropped its match against Washington State earlier this season in Salt Lake City in straight sets, while the Utes’ last match in Pullman was a 3-1 victory in 2019.
