CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Carolina volleyball team (10-11, 4-8 ACC) is back in Carmichael this weekend for a pair of ACC clashes. The Tar Heels host Virginia Tech at 6 p.m. on Friday and Wake Forest at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Both matches will be streamed on ACCNX. Kyle Straub and Matt Krause will be on Friday’s call, while Kyle Straub and Corey Carlin will call Sunday’s match against the Demon Deacons. Admission to both matches is free.

- Mabrey Shaffmaster has had two double doubles in the last three matches and has had double-digit kills in five of the last six matches. Shaffmaster ranks No. 3 in kills in conference play, averaging 3.76 kills per set, No. 3 in aces (.42/set) and No. 3 in points (4.41/set)
- Freshman Sydney Nolan played in all eight sets against Duke and NC State, hitting .600 with 16 kills, a team-best 10 blocks and a pair of solo blocks
- Freshman Zoe Behrendt tallied her first career double-double against NC State with 33 assists and 12 digs
- Graduate Kaya Merkler is just six blocks shy career block No. 300 and Shaffmaster is just one block away from career block No. 100
