- The Cavaliers opened the week by outlasting the Orange of Syracuse in five sets for the first win at Syracuse since 1992.
- Lauryn Bowie led the Cavaliers on Wednesday with a team-best 19 kills and four blocks. Elayna Duprey added 14 more kills and tied for the match-high with three aces.
- UVA moved to 5-1 on the season in five-set matches and collected a season-high 69 kills in the victory.
