CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Coming off back-to-back five-set thrillers, the Virginia volleyball team (16-4, 6-3 ACC) is set for a road contest with the Boston College Eagles (9-12, 2-7 ACC) on Sunday (Oct. 27) inside the Margot Connell Recreational Center.

  • The Cavaliers opened the week by outlasting the Orange of Syracuse in five sets for the first win at Syracuse since 1992.
  • Lauryn Bowie led the Cavaliers on Wednesday with a team-best 19 kills and four blocks. Elayna Duprey added 14 more kills and tied for the match-high with three aces.
  • UVA moved to 5-1 on the season in five-set matches and collected a season-high 69 kills in the victory.

HOT START

  • Virginia is off to its best start since 2003, when the Cavaliers won 17 of the first 20 matches of the season.
  • UVA is off to its first 6-3 start in ACC play since 2006.
