Volleyball Adds Morgan Jones to Round Out Freshmen Signing Class


COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Volleyball head coach Dawn Sullivan and her coaching staff announced Monday the signing of Morgan Jones.

Jones will join Mizzou ahead of the 2024 campaign. 

She joins freshmen Tia Phinezy, Vivian Parker, Aspen Maxwell, Claire Morrissey, and Grace Sweeney to continue building the Tigers program.

Jones, a 6-1 outside hitter from Crystal Lake, Illinois, heads to Columbia after earning first-team all-conference and all-area honors over her final two seasons at Huntley High School.

The daughter of Andrea and Tony Jones, Morgan Jones, was named in Prep Volleyball’s Top 100 players list and ranked fifth in Illinois for the class of 2024.

Jones was also named an Under Armour Next Athlete All-American.

She led Huntley HS in kills and hitting percentage and compiled a career hitting clip of .383.

Jones was also named to the academic honor roll and was a three-time Daily Herald All-Area player.

She competed for the Sky High Club volleyball team. 

Morgan Jones’ father, Tony Jones, played basketball at Purdue.
