Volleyball Announces Full 2022 Schedule

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The University of Michigan volleyball program, in conjunction with the Big Ten Conference, released its full 2022 schedule Tuesday (June 14).

The Wolverines will play 10 non-conference matches and 20 Big Ten contests, with the NCAA Tournament slated to begin on Dec. 1.

Michigan will start the season with three road matches at Northern Arizona (Aug. 26-27). The Wolverines also will host a pair of tournaments (Sept. 2-3 and Sept. 16-18), with a trip to North Carolina (Sept. 9-10) for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge in between.

Michigan will open up conference play with a two-match stint on the road at Rutgers (Sept. 23) and Penn State (Sept. 24). The Maize and Blue will host rival Ohio State to kick off conference play at home on Sept. 28.

Michigan will face off against Rutgers, Ohio State, Northwestern, Minnesota, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Purdue in home-and-some series, while facing the remaining schools once.

Start times, locations and television designations will be announced at a later date.

Michigan went 18-12 overall and 11-9 in conference play during the 2021 season. The Wolverines welcome back 14 letterwinners, highlighted by starters, Jess Mruzik, Jess Robinson, Hannah Grant, May Pertofsky, Jacque Boney,  and Scottee Johnson. The Wolverines welcome transfer Allison Jacobs and two freshmen, Molly Simmons and Serena Nyambio.
