PREVIEW
- The Clemson Tigers (3-2) head to Boone, N.C. to compete in the Black & Gold Invitational after going 1-1 at the GATA Challenge.
- Clemson will first face off against host team App State on Thursday, September 12 at 7:00 P.M. before going on to face Wofford on Friday, September 13 at 3:30 P.M. and Winthrop on Saturday, September 14 at 1:00 P.M. All matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.
- This will be the 15th meeting between the Tiger and Mountaineers. Clemson leads the all-time series 12-2 and won the latest meeting 3-1 in 2019.
- Friday will be the eighth match that Clemson has played against Wofford. The Tigers lead the series 7-0 and won the most recent meeting 3-0 in 2023.

GATA CHALLENGE RECAP
- The Tigers won the first-ever meeting against Maryland Eastern Shore, 3-1.
- Mia McGrath and Kennedy Wagner led the Tigers offensively with 15 and 14 kills, respectively. Neea-Maria Joki and Devan Taylor each notched three and two aces, respectively, while four more Tigers also recorded an ace. Defensively, seven different Tigers recorded a block.
- The Tigers dropped a tight 1-3 match against Georgia Southern.
- Azyah Dailey, Joki and McGrath each finished with 10+ kills in the match with Dailey leading the team at 18 kills. Joki, McGrath and Taylor each had two aces with Joki recording a team-high and career-high seven blocks. Katherine Sandt, Claire Luoma and Taylor each notched 10+ digs on the afternoon and Sandt nearly matched her career-high in assists with 41 to grab her third double-double.
REACHING NEW HEIGHTS
- Taylor continues to move closer to 1,400 career digs and is 59 digs away from capturing the fourth-most digs all-time as a Tiger. Her 105 digs ranks as fifth-most in the ACC and her 4.16 digs per set is the sixth-highest in the ACC.
