Volleyball ends season ranked third

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin volleyball team ended the season ranked third in the final American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA)  Top-25 Coaches poll. It marks the 11th-straight season for the Badgers to finish in the top 12, including eight years in the top five.  UW has finished fifth or better in the last five seasons.

National champion Texas (28-4) ends the season ranked first while national runner-up Nebraska (33-2) comes in second.  Wisconsin (30-4) finishes third while national semifinalist Pittsburgh (29-5) is ranked fourth. Stanford (29-4) rounds out the top five.

Wisconsin has been ranked in the AVCA national poll for 166 consecutive polls, including the last 69 straight polls in the top 10.

The Badgers advanced to the NCAA National Semifinals in 2023, its 11th straight season advancing to the Sweet 16 round or better. Wisconsin is one of only three teams to advance to the Sweet 16 the last 11 years in a row, joining Nebraska and Texas, while advancing to the national semifinals in four of the last five seasons.
