COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Volleyball Head Coach Dawn Sullivan announced Saturday the signing of transfer Alayna Pearson.

Pearson, a 5-6 libero/defensive specialist from Overland Park, Kansas, transfers to Mizzou after spending her freshman season at fellow SEC institution, Texas A&M.

She tallied 34 digs, eight assists and five aces over 17 matches for the Aggies this past fall. Pearson made a pair of starts in 2023 and registered a career-best nine digs and two aces versus Auburn on Nov. 5.

Prior to Texas A&M, Pearson was a four-year starter for Blue Valley Northwest High School, helping the Huskies reach the substate semifinals each of those four seasons. She was named the 2022 Eastern Kansas League Defensive Player of the Year and also earned EKL First Team honors.
