Volleyball Plays Final Spring Scrimmage On Black & Gold Day


BOULDER – The Colorado volleyball team will play their fourth and final scrimmage day this Saturday during CU’s Black and Gold Day. Fans are welcome to attend the matches for free. 

First, the current Buffs squad will play against alumnae in the main gym at 10 a.m. MT in the CU Events Center. Denver University and the University of Northern Colorado will play in the lower gym at the same time. 

“We are excited to compete in our last matches for this spring training cycle this Saturday,” head coach Jesse Mahoney said. 

After playing the alums, the Buffs will face UNC beginning around 11:30 a.m. MT in the main gym in their final scrimmage of the spring season.

“I’m looking forward to being challenged by a very good Northern Colorado team, and we are all really looking forward to a fun match with our alumnae,” Mahoney said. “Having the opportunity to see and connect with the alums will be one of the highlights of our spring.”

Important Tidbits:

  • Parking will be available in Lot 416 only. Fans can start parking in the lot around 8:30 a.m. M.T.

    • Parking won’t be open in the Regent Garage or Lot 436 due to the football game.

  • The Regent Doors of the CU Events Center will open to fans around 9:30 a.m. MT.
