COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri volleyball team (18-5, 9-2 SEC) was ranked No. 25 in the AVCA/TARAFLEX NCAA Division I Poll, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Monday.
The Tigers are ranked in the top-25 for the first time since April 26, 2021, where MU concluded the spring 2020-21 campaign at No. 25.
Prior to the COVID-19 altered season, Missouri was last featured in the top-25 poll Oct. 28, 2019, at No. 24.
Mizzou is currently on a nine-match win streak (eight SEC matches) in 2024. Missouri is on its longest win streak since 2016 (13 matches, nine SEC matches). The Tigers are also second in the SEC standings at 9-2 right behind Kentucky (10-2 SEC).
The Tigers most recently matched their SEC and overall win totals from 2023, when Dawn Sullivan was named SEC Coach of the Year.
MU is also ranked 17th this season for RPI (third highest SEC school).
LOOKING AHEAD
- Missouri will next host No. 21 Florida (18-5, 9-3 SEC) in a top-25 duel Friday at the Hearnes Center. First serve is 7 p.m., CT.
- The contest will be aired on SEC Network+ with Noah Reed and Riley Rohler on the broadcast.
