Volleyball Ranked Second in Preseason AVCA Poll


MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin volleyball team is ranked in second in the preseason American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Coaches poll, released Tuesday afternoon.

Wisconsin (28-4 in 2022) has won each of the last four Big Ten Championships and is preseason picked to finish at the top of the Big Ten conference once again. The Badgers advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament for the fifth straight season in 2022, and is one of only three teams to advance to the Sweet 16 in the last 10 years in a row.

Wisconsin has been ranked in the AVCA national poll for 152 consecutive polls, including the last 55-straight polls in the top 10.

Fans will have a chance to get an early-season look at the Badgers on Saturday when they host the UIC Flames for an exhibition match. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. at the UW Field House. Tickets to the exhibition can be purchased HERE.
