Volleyball set to host eighth-ranked Stanford Friday in Bohler


PULLMAN, Wash. — Looking for its first top-10 win of the season, Washington State volleyball (15-6, 7-3 Pac-12) will hope to gain some footing in the NCAA postseason picture as it hosts eighth-ranked Stanford (14-4, 9-1) Friday night in Bohler Gym.   Friday’s match, the second matchup of the season between the two teams, will be televised live on Pac-12 Network with first serve slated for 7:04 p.m.

The Cardinal are riding an eight-match winning streak heading into Friday’s matchup while Washington State looks to defend a 12-match home winning streak in Bohler Gym after a successful 2-0 weekend over the Arizona schools last week.

>> Jehlarova was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after putting up 1.50 blocks/set and 1.88 kills/set against the Arizona schools last week.  She currently sits at No. 19 in the nation with 1.39 blocks/set this season and is 19th in the NCAA and first in the Pac-12 with 107 total blocks on the year.
