HONOLULU – The No. 21 ranked Lewis University women’s volleyball team swept both Hawai’i Pacific, 3-0, and San Francisco State, 3-0, Friday. The Flyers defeated the Sharks, 25-21, 25-21, 25-15, then defeated the Gators, 25-21, 25-18, 27-25 at the Hawai’i Convention Center.

FIRST SET: No. 21 Lewis 25, Hawai’i Pacific 21
- Lewis went up 4-1 early in the first set after a kill by Bella Ray (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet Catholic).
- Hawai’i Pacific cut it down to 1 (9-8) after rallying for three straight points.
- The Flyers bounced back after getting back-to-back kills by Farah Taki (North Aurora, Ill./West Aurora) and Juliana Van Loo (Burbank, Calif./John Burroughs) to make it 11-8.
- Lewis was able to hold onto a lead most of the first set and the Flyers scored the last two points to win the set, 25-21.
SECOND SET: No. 21 Lewis 25, Hawai’i Pacific 20
- Lewis started off the second set with three straight points after Lauren Stenman (Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul) recorded a service ace.
