Waleska, Georgia– Three Brenau volleyball players swept the Appalachian Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week honors for the week of October 23rd-29th, the conference announced on Monday.
Mary Ellen Enright received AAC Attacker of the Week honors for her play this past weekend. The Cumming, Ga. native averaged 5.71 kills per set and posted a .225 hitting percentage. She had a total of 80 kills and 42 digs, including three double-doubles and posted 25 or more kills in every match.
Enright sits atop the national leaderboard with 4.74 digs per set and previously received AAC Attacker of the Week honors for the week of October 9th-15th
Julieanne Saliba received AAC Defender of the Week honors for her outstanding performance for the Golden Tigers. The defensive stalwart totalled 127 digs in 19 sets for an average of 6.68 digs per set. The Buford, Ga. native also posted match-high 40 digs against Johnson (Tenn.) University.
Gabrielle Hogle completed the trifecta with AAC Setter of the Week honors. Hogle totalled 157 assists and 37 digs on the week, including a career-best 61 assists versus Johnson. The Flowery Branch, Ga. native averaged a stellar 10.47 assists, including three double-doubles.
This is the first time that three Brenau players have received AAC Players of the Week recognition in a single week.
