PREVIEW 

  • The Clemson Tigers (8-7, 0-4 ACC) head back to Jervey Gym to battle the Virginia Cavaliers (13-2, 3-1 ACC) and the Virginia Tech Hokies (6-8, 0-4 ACC). 
  • The Tigers will first play the Cavaliers on Friday, October 11 at 7 P.M. for the 70th time in program history. Clemson has historically dominated Virginia with an all-time 46-23 advantage, including a 25-7 record in Jervey Gym. The Tigers have won the previous four contests against the Cavaliers and six of the last seven matches that have been able to play.
  • Clemson will continue their homestand against Virginia Tech on Sunday, October 13 at 1 P.M. for the 39th time. The Tigers have a 24-14 all-time record against the Hokies with a 13-4 record inside Jervey and defeated them twice in 2023, once at home and once in Blacksburg.  

 RPI LOOKOUT 

  • In the first RPI rankings of the season, the Clemson Tigers were placed just outside the top-50, clocking in at 51. 
  • The Tigers have faced fierce competition midway through the season with the team having already played seven games against opponents within the top-50, including three within the top-11.  
  • Clemson ranks as the 11th highest ACC team in terms of RPI and has 15 total contests with teams in the top-50 of RPI. 

 THE INTERSECTION OF AMBITION & HARD WORK 

  • Senior libero Devan Taylor cemented herself in Clemson Tigers’ lore by surpassing 2024 Clemson Hall of Famer, Julie Rodriguez, to claim the sole possession of the second most career digs in Clemson history during the match against Louisville. Taylor currently has 1,547 digs in her career. 
  • The team captain is also a defensive stalwart. The Texan’s 263 digs and 4.87 digs per set are the highest and second-highest marks in the ACC, respectively, and has a top-50 digs rate ranking in the nation.
