The rankings in this report refer to the AVCA Coaches Poll from a week ago.

What a week it’s been since.

When the new poll comes out later Monday, the likely Nos. 1 and 2 will be Pittsburgh and Stanford.

After that?

Good luck to the respective directors of ops and/or sports information directors who vote for their head coaches.

Since that poll was announced last Monday, No. 1 Texas lost (twice), No. 2 Nebraska lost, No. 3 Louisville lost, and, well, you get the idea.

Sunday was no exception, with another couple of upsets as unranked Auburn knocked off No. 15 Florida State and Western Michigan beat No. 24 Marquette, and there was the usual array of reverse sweeps, including 5-0 Washington over Colorado.

Lines of the day: Temple lost in five to Presbyterian, but Taylor Davenport had 33 kills and Sydney Jones had 22. Dartmouth’s Kauany Gutz had 30 kills in a five-set win over Northeastern.
