WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest volleyball (12-7, 4-4) will again pack its bags this weekend for a fourth out-of-state trip of the season. The Demon Deacons head South to the state of Florida for Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) matchups at Miami (Oct. 21) and Florida State (Oct. 23).
Both matches will air on ACC Network Extra.
Recently, Wake Forest spent time near the Midwest region for visits to Notre Dame (Oct. 14) and No. 2 Louisville (Oct. 16).
The Deacs have remained a top-three conference team in digs-per-set throughout the fall, currently ranked second among all institutions (14.97).

Sunday, Oct. 23 – Wake Forest at Florida State – 1 p.m. ET

Wake Forest found itself in another toe-to-toe conference battle on Friday evening (Oct. 14), visiting Notre Dame. Taking the Fighting Irish to five sets, the Demon Deacons ultimately fell just short in the evening’s conclusion (25-17, 23-25, 21-25, 25-14, 13-15).
Olivia Franke tied her career-high for the second time this year, finishing with 12 kills on a .667 attacking percentage. The junior middle blocker additionally assisted on seven blocks.
Paige Crawford tallied her fourth double-double in the last five matches: a team-high 13 kills, along with 10 digs.
Playing back in her home state of Indiana, Olivia Murphy provided a spark as a reserve, totaling eight kills. Emmy Ogogor chipped in eight kills of her own, along with seven blocks.
Setters Rian Baker and Andrea Fuentes collected 22 and 15 assists, respectively. Baker also reached a new season high of four service aces. Fuentes added 13 digs for her fifth double-double of the year.
Emma Farrell led Wake Forest’s defense with 18 digs. Peyton Suess posted nine digs and seven blocks.
Sunday, Oct. 16 – Louisville 3, Wake Forest 1
Playing in front of a sold-out audience and facing its highest ranked opponent of the fall, Wake Forest took on the challenge headstrong against No. 2 Louisville on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 16). With their backs against the wall, the Demon Deacons impressively captured a third-set win before ultimately falling in four frames (16-25, 15-25, 28-26, 20-25).
