BISMARCK, N.D. – Roger Ternes, the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) commissioner, recently named Waldorf Volleyball Head Coach Bri Ebenhoe as the league’s new Director of Student Engagement.

“I am very excited to be moving into this role for the North Star Athletic Association,” Ebenhoe said. “I love working with passionate student-athletes to help them improve their experience and those of their peers. I want to facilitate the growth and ownership of these young men and women as they work together to celebrate the North Star Athletic experience.”

Ebenhoe replaces Heidi Huebner who has accepted an athletic position at the University of Oklahoma.  “The NSAA welcomes Bri Ebenhoe as the Director of Student-Athlete Engagement.  Her collegiate experience and a background in counseling, psychology, and positive coaching will be an asset for the entire league,” said Ternes.

Ebenhoe will direct programming for the Board of Student-Athletes (BOSA) and assist campus representatives in developing programming for athletes, coaches, and administrators.

“Bri’s energy, experience, and enthusiasm will provide each NSAA member institution with a skilled resource as they plan and develop student-athlete programs on their campuses,” added Ternes.

“I can’t wait to work with the passionate student-athletes of the NSAA campuses,” said Ebenhoe.  “They are a group that truly wants to make a difference, not just at the conference level, but also on a national level.”

Ebenhoe has coached the Waldorf Volleyball Team since the 2017 season, and she also teaches as an adjunct professor.

She was the North Star Athletic Association Volleyball Chair for the 2021-22 season.  She presented an online seminar for the American Volleyball Coaches’ Association in 2020.

Ebenhoe was the faculty advisor for the Waldorf University Council of Student-Athletes (CSA) from 2019-21.

She received her bachelor’s at Marquette University in 2009 and her master’s degree in educational, school, and counseling psychology with an emphasis on positive coaching from the University of Missouri in 2017.

The Warriors begin their 2022 volleyball season when they compete in the Cardinal Stritch University Triangular beginning Saturday, August 20 in Milwaukee, Wis.
